100% local privacy: your data stays on your device.
The ADHD Parents Journey Companion App is delivered directly through our website and built with a simple, uncompromising privacy principle: your data belongs to you, and it never leaves your device.
When you log medication notes or track environmental triggers, that information is saved directly in your device's secure local browser storage (indexed storage or a local database). We do not store, back up, transmit, or view your logs on external servers. We cannot see what you write, and we will never have access to your child's health records or daily routines.
How your data is handled

- • 100% local storage: every note, timestamp, and environment entry is saved directly inside your device's browser or app storage.
- • Zero server transmission: we do not operate cloud databases for your logs. Your entries are never uploaded across the web or stored on external servers.
- • No accounts or cloud syncing: because your entries remain entirely on your device, we do not hold passwords, health profiles, or behavioral logs on our systems.
- • Export control in your hands: when you generate a summary report for your child's consultant, the report is compiled locally on your device. You choose whether to download, print, or email it.
Managing and deleting your records
Because all information lives strictly on your phone or computer, you have full and immediate control. You can edit or erase any log entry directly inside the app at any time.
Clearing your browser cache or deleting saved app data permanently erases all stored logs from your device. That is why it is worth generating and saving PDF reports regularly before browser cleanups or device changes.
Technical and legal notes for founder review
- UK GDPR and household exemption: because all data remains locally on the user's personal hardware and is never transmitted to or processed by your web servers, the app activity falls under the purely personal or household activity exemption. You are not holding or controlling special-category health data.
- Web storage and PECR: storage technologies such as localStorage or IndexedDB used purely to store user-inputted data offline are exempt from cookie consent banners under PECR's strictly necessary clause, provided this page clearly explains how data is held locally.
- Data persistence awareness: since web apps store data locally in the user's browser storage, remind users in onboarding or FAQ that clearing browser cache or data will erase their entries, and encourage them to generate and save PDF reports regularly before cleanup or device changes.
